Cucamelon, also known as Mexican sour gherkin or mouse melon, produces grape-sized fruits that look like tiny watermelons but taste like cucumbers with a hint of citrus. These vigorous climbers are both ornamental and productive.

Position: Full sun, well-drained soil

Plant height: Vines up to 2–3 m (requires support)
Growing instructions:
Sow seeds indoors 4–6 weeks before the last frost or directly outdoors after the soil has warmed. Train the vines onto a trellis or support for best growth and easy harvesting. Water regularly but avoid waterlogging. Fruits are ready to harvest when they reach the size of a grape and are firm to the touch.
